Oxxo factory in Algeria

Several Siplast waterproofing systems used in the Oxxo factory construction in Algeria.

Cevital is an Algerian Group that has been investing for over 40 years in diversified sectors such as the food industry, mass retailing, electrical goods industry, steel, and the flat glass industry.

Following the acquisition of Oxxo France, the Cevital Group expanded by building an industrial complex located in Bordj Bou Arreridj, in the east, 250 km east of Algiers. This complex has an annual capacity of 2.1 million windows and French windows with high thermal insulation, the largest in Africa and the Mediterranean region.

The factory is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment with a fully integrated industrial model that meets the requirements of the various national construction programs in the building sector, as well as the requirements of new markets by exporting the PVC joinery production of windows and doors.

Oxxo Algeria has invested 200 million dollars to market locally manufactured products meeting the latest European performance standards. More than 3,000 direct jobs will be created, and over 30,000 indirect jobs will be created as part of the subcontracting process.

The waterproofing project represent a total area of 50,000 m², with several Siplast waterproofing systems in use:
- The main structure was covered by a two-layer system Paradiene FM+Paracier G for 40,000 m²;
- The roofing of the offices (5,000 m²) and the pumping station (2,500 m²) was fabricated using an Adesolo G single-layer system;
- A water storage basin was constructed with the TERANAP TP 431 TP geomembrane.

The waterproofing and insulation effort was completed within 4 months by the ACAS company, an approved Siplast applicator.
