Solvent free liquids BACK
Standard bituminous glues, made of solvents, may aggress polystyrene or swell-up the membranes they bond together. Most are volatile and flammable, they can be noxious to the environement as well as on the human beings, they can easily be absorbed through the skin and through the mucous membranes. For these reasons they should always be handled with care.

Moreover their drying time can be long on the field.
Development of solvent-free solutions is thus an alternative to reduce health hazard to operators and avoid effluent waste problems.

Icopal has introduced solvent-free liquids with MS polymers whose main benefits are:
• Quick drying,
• No migration of solvent, no smell thus ideal for indoor uses,
• No risk of fire,
• No labels regarding sensitizing, toxicity,
• Viscosity almost temperature independent,
• High resistance to water, grease and climatic variations,
• Safe and easy application on site,
• High adhesion to concrete, wood, steel, insulation panels.
